Looking back on 2016

I love taking a little trip down memory lane.  Here's a quick look at 2016.
In March we went on a family vacation to Hawaii.  You can read about that here.
It was a last minute trip that we'd been wanting to take for a while.  We weren't prepared at all, when Dan told us we had less than 24 hours to get packed and ready to go.  We were a bit rushed, but it was well worth it.

My girls both chose to give their lives to Christ and get baptized.  This was my biggest praise, highlight, everything in 2016.  Jesse had already made this decision a couple years ago, so I had been praying that my girls would as well.  #onehappymama

We celebrated 5 of my people turning 40 in Las Vegas.  It was such a fun and relaxing trip!

 We camped a lot.

And boated a lot too.

2016 brought a new school year, with a Freshman, a 6th grader & a 3rd grader.
I'm still reeling from the idea that I have a kid in high school.

In October my Mom, Lindy & I visited New Orleans.  We saw and did so much.  Another fun trip in the books.  If you are looking for fun things to do in New Orleans be sure and check out my travel page for some ideas.

We spent Thanksgiving down in California.  You can read about that here.

2016 was a fun and busy year.  We had countless games... both volleyball and basketball.  We had swimming lessons, bowling league, piano practice, & a soccer season.  We've all stretched and grown this year, and I think we're better because of it.

I hope 2016 was just as good to you, and that 2017 is even better!

XO,
