Outback

The kids and I went for a walk outback today.  We went with May and Haas since they are in town for the weekend.
This is as close as I've had to a family picture in a couple years, we were just missing Dan.  ;)  Guess we'll have to keep working on it.

As we were headed back home, one of Mom's calves needed bottle fed, so we went out to watch.  She wasn't very hungry.  But Gracie got to try and hold the bottle for a bit.  It's been a while, since they've got to bottle feed a calf.   Isn't she sweet!  :)

M&M

It's calving season right now, and Emma cow finally had her baby last night.  We went over to Mom's house this morning, and Emma named her baby calf M&M.

Winter walk

I decided to take the dogs for a walk today.  We just went out back behind our house.  Here are my brave and loyal companions.  Haha!  I think they would knock me down and run for home if we ran into trouble.  ;)

We walked down by the creek, and Lucy just went and jumped in the water.  I was pretty surprised as we haven't taken Lucy swimming before, but she was loving it.  I was also surprised because it's winter and freezing out.

Roxy hates the water, as you can see in the picture above, she's just standing and watching Lucy swim.  This picture below of Roxy just cracks me up.  They are both just so different.  Poor Roxy, heaven forbid she even get her feet wet.

As we were headed back home from our walk, the dogs ran into someone who didn't want to play.

Poor thing... I told the girls to leave it alone, and to come on.  Well Lucy just couldn't leave it behind, so she scooped it up in her mouth and swallowed it whole.  Ewww!!!  I'm sure she thought she had solved the problem.  Maybe they actually are brave and loyal companions who thought they were saving me from this little mole.  ;)

2nd hand find

A month or so ago my Mom, Emma and I went out of town and went and visited my sister.  She took us to a few different places that I hadn't been to before.  I was originally just looking for some photography props at antique shops, but I happened upon this dresser instead.  I've been needing to get a dresser for the girls for quite some time now.  The only thing is, now I have to take the time and fix it up a bit.

I'm actually excited to see how it will turn out.  I want to pick out a paint color and get some nobs and handles for it.  I've never done anything like this before, so hopefully I won't ruin it.  Haha.

This is a picture that I took of the girls bed spread.  There are a bunch of fun colors, so I was thinking I could use one of them.  Either the teal, or maybe the guacamole green.  I could otherwise just repaint it white...  anyone have any ideas or suggestions???  :)
