What's Up Wednesday

It's already the end of July!  Eeek!  I can't believe how fast this summer is flying by.  It's crazy, I tell you.  Well it also means that it's time for a another month of What's Up Wednesday.  I'm linking back up with Shay, Mel & Sheaffer.

What we're eating this week

Spanish Rice II
I made this spanish rice as a side dish this week for a family get together.  I had some leftover, so I've been eating it this week for lunch.  Yum!

What I'm reminiscing about

Nothing that I can think of.  I know... lame, right!?  ;)  Life has just been busy lately.  Instead of looking back and reminiscing about much, I'm just trying to keep all the balls in the air.

What I'm loving

I'm loving these summer days.  I'm ready for life not to feel so crazy busy... but I'm loving the warm weather and trying to soak it in.
Hold on, summer!

 What we've been up to

Gracie finishes her volleyball camp today.  That's our last camp for the year.  Woohoo!  I have signed the kids up for more this summer than I ever have before.  It's been a bit exhausting... but with her only being a year out from entering high school sports, I want to give her as much experience as I can.

What I'm dreading

I can't think of anything that I'm dreading at the moment...  I'm bummed that the pool will be closing down in the next couple of weeks.  But I'm not dreading it.

What I'm working on

Editing pictures!  Tons and tons of pictures!  I have 5 more sessions to shoot in the next 3 weeks and all 6 sessions to edit.  My butt will be glued to this computer chair.

What I'm excited about

I'm actually a bit excited to have the weekend at home to get caught up on some of the things that I've been wanting to get to.

What I'm watching/reading

Now that the Bachelorette is over... I'm not watching anything.  I did start a new book last week.  Secrets of a Charmed Life by Susan Meissner.  I don't think I've ever read anything by her before, but I'm excited to give this a try.  So far it's been good.

What I'm listening to

Here are a couple of songs that I've put on my itunes over the last month.
Honey, I'm good.  -Andy Grammer
Shut Up and Dance.  -Walk The Moon
You Make Me Brave  -Bethel Music and Amanda Cook

What I'm wearing

 Drape Front Cardigan (Nordstrom Exclusive)
Any time I get the chance, I am wearing this "blardigan" that I ordered.  It is the coziest thing I've ever worn.  Seriously, it's like wearing a cozy blanket.

What I'm doing this weekend

I will be editing pictures, watching movies, reading my book and relaxing around the house... while wearing my "blardigan" of course.  Haha!

What I'm looking forward to next month

Nothing too big really.  I'm excited to turn the pages on my calender and start another month with a somewhat clean schedule.

 What else is new

These 2 kittens.  Meet Hunter and Hawk.  They were a little shy and not too sure of people when we first got them.  But man are they warming up.  They are the most curious little guys and are all over the house.  They will eventually be outdoor cats once they get a bit bigger.  For now, we are just having fun hanging out with them.

What will you miss most about summer

Definitely spending time with my kids.  With all 3 of them in school, it gets pretty quiet around the house.  I'll definitely miss getting to wear summer clothes and flip flops along with being warm.  I absolutely hate being cold.  My body hurts when I'm cold... yup, I'm an old lady!  Ha!  ;)

I hope you all are having a great week so far!

  1. This blardigan thing --- I keep hearing it....but haven't tasted the koolaid yet!! So cute!

    1. I had been hearing about it for the last year, and finally decided to order it. It is everything I'd hoped it would be. Seriously, you should jump on this blardigan train. The only thing I regret is that I only budgeted for one. ;)

  2. I'm so excited for cold weather to come! I hate the heat! You should post some of your pictures when you're done editing them! I'd love to see your work!

  3. Spanish rice yum!!! LOVE my blardigan and so glad I splurged and bought one :)

    1. I am so glad I did too. Wish I could have gotten a second one as I'm worried I'm going to wear this one out fast! ;)

  4. Yes to these summer days!! I can't get enough of everything summer...

  5. Ahhhh, keep debating about the blardigan! I bought my first Zellas and some Kate Spade studs :)

    1. How fun! I kept looking at the Kate Spade studs, but didn't end up with them. Maybe next time! :)
