Happy Friday!

Happy Friday Friends!

I know I've been a bit silent again... I'm working on it.  I promise!  As life changes so are my thoughts on this little blog.  I'm trying to figure out whether to keep this blog up and running or whether I should start up a whole new one.  With my kids getting older, I'm thinking more and more about changing from a family/lifestyle blog over to a more intentional blog... but I just can't decide what to do yet.  So if you have any thoughts or ideas for me, help a girl out!  What is it that you like to read when you stop by?

Okay, so on a lighter note, I thought I'd share a few of my favorites today to kick off the weekend.

~ONE~

This bag... isn't it cute!  I currently have it in my wish list, in case Dan and the kids need a birthday present idea for me... in October.  ;)  It's already been sold out once since I found it, so I'm hoping Dan decides to shop early this year.  :)

I had been eying a dress for Gracie, that I'd seen on Pinterest.  Well long story short, my sister told me I could find it on Amazon for $9.99!  I ended up ordering her one in this color as well as one in navy.  And... I may have ordered one for myself as well.  Is that weird that I like the same clothes I order my 15 year old?  I don't want to dress like I'm 15 and I don't want her dressing like she's 34, but this seems neutral enough, right?!

Speaking of Gracie...  she got her drivers license 2 weeks ago.

She's been driving herself into volleyball practice everyday.  I'm slowly starting to get used to it, but boy is it weird!

 ~FOUR~

I went and picked fresh blueberries recently and I'm loving them.  I kept some fresh for us to eat, and then froze the rest for smoothies, muffins, pancakes, etc.  I swear sometimes it's the simple things in life that I love the most.  I mean, when can you get blueberries this fresh?!
 Yum!

~FIVE~

We watched the solar eclipse, and had so much fun.  It didn't get dark here, but it really cooled off and got almost "dusk" like.  I think my kids enjoyed it more than they thought they would.

 ~SIX~

Last week my Mom, my Aunt, my sister and I all visited some family in Idaho.  We looked through some old family photos, and then we went out and met his draft horses.  He has 5 of these beauties, and man are they big.  I'm 5'10 and my head looks like it's right at his back.  If it wouldn't have been raining, we would have went on a carriage ride... but nope, the one time it rains all summer.  ;)

~SEVEN~

I found this on Pinterest and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way...

Okay, that's it for today.
I've linked up with Andrea, Erika & Narci.

Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!

    1. That's what I thought! So my order finally arrived, and I love the colors, fabric and the long sleeves, but I'm not a fan of the cut, so I'm sending them back. :( I can't handle having one side of my dress longer than the other. I've heard it's a new thing?.. so maybe I'm the only one who isn't a fan.

  3. I feel like I'm at such an odd place with blogging too and keep going back and forth with what I want to do. I'd say keep this one and maybe just do an overhaul. 15 and driving?! I can't believe how young they can drive there, I mean I can, but wow. I saw your stories on those horses and wasn't sure if they were yours. I hope you have a great weekend! Beautifully Candid

  5. I completely get the crossroads with blogging. I've honestly done both when falling into a sabbatical as I call it. I recommend not starting over. There's too much good stuff and history here. When I get the urge to start fresh, I change the look. I get a new theme and start writing with a different tone. It takes time but my blog eventually became what I wanted it to be!

I'm loving that bag and I can't even imagine having a teenager driving! Eek!

  6. I love that dress! May need one myself!! :) I was looking at your About Me and see that you are from Montana?! I grew up in the Bozeman area (went to school in small town Manhattan!). I haven't lived there in 14 years but every 3 years we go back to go to family camp at Clydehurst Christian Ranch! ❤️

    1. I really wanted to love the dress, but unfortunately I'm sending it back. :( Small world, isn't it! We live about 4 hours from Bozeman.

  8. I thought Gracie must be older than my Grace because she's already driving, but I guess you all must have a younger Driv Lic age. Wow! I love that purse, and now you've got me clicking around Sole Society to find one to put on my birthday wish list. ;)

I have found myself writing a lot less about the kids as they get older. There's only so much I want to share as they get their own lives. I see myself continuing with this trend, and focusing more on travel, favorites, books, etc. I agree with some other comments to keep the same blog, but just modify your posts as you'd like.

  9. A great purse and I do hope you get it for your b'day. Just my two cents worth, I love your blog just as it is but I can understand you might want to change the name, but it's a most enjoyable blog. Have a great weekend!

  12. I have been eying that same dress on Amazon! Amazon actually has a ton of great clothes for super cheap and free shipping if you have prime! I think I need to do most of my shopping on there now!

    1. I was so excited for this dress to arrive. I love everything about it, except the cut of the dress. One side of the dress is longer than the other, which I guess is how it's supposed to be made?! However I prefer mine to be symmetrical. :( That being said, I'll keep looking for something similar. :)

  13. Whatever you decide to do I'll be reading. I had no idea you were so tall...I'm only about 5'3" on a good day...LOL. It's perfectly normal to be finding clothes you and Gracie can both wear. That dress is cute. When's your bday in Oct? Mines the 7th, our anniv the 10th and Katie's is the 15th. Hope you have a great week!

  14. Haha! Lately I so get #7! I'm normally not reliant on my coffee but I just can't make it through a morning lately without it. I can just imagine how weird it is to have Gracie drive. I feel that way about Lilly driving and I've only known her for a year and a half!
