Weekend Recap

We headed up to Kalispell on Friday after we got the kids out of school.  We met up with Dan's parents for dinner, and exchanged gifts.  I love that we get to start celebrating Christmas early with them each year.

On Saturday, Dan and I finished up our shopping and then met up with the kids and Dan's dad to see Star Wars.  I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I grew up with an older brother who is obsessed with it, so I've learned to appreciate it over the years.

Then it was a late night home, because the kids had their church program yesterday morning.

Tomorrow is their last day of school and I'm almost ready for them to be home.

My goal is to have all of my groceries bought, meals planned, laundry done, bills paid, wrapping completed... etc.  ALL of it done.  So that when the kids get out of school on tomorrow, we can just enjoy their time at home.  I'm crossing my fingers that it all works out like I'm hoping, but I'm not holding my breath.  Ha!

I'm hoping we can get out and go sledding, play board games, work on our puzzle, bake cookies and watch as many Christmas movies as we want.  After all, it's Christmas break.

I did buy them each a new book, so that they have something new to read over Christmas break.  I don't think they are excited about that, but a little quiet time in the house does this Mama good.  Plus, I wouldn't mind getting in some time to read as well.  Again, we'll see how that goes!  ;)

Are you all finished up and ready for Christmas?
