Happy Friday Friends!
It's been a little quiet over here on the blog, but just because I've been busy living life.
I wanted to share a few things that I'm loving this week.
First up...
First off, can we all just take a minute to appreciate Amazon Prime! It doesn't get any easier than having the UPS man drop off a stack of boxes on my front steps. Two day shipping ✓, Christmas presents ✓ , household goods ✓, stuff I don't need ✓✓.
So today, and as far as I can see the future, I am thankful for Amazon Prime!
If I end up making a gift guide, this throw is going on it. It's under $20 and would be cute wrapped up underneath the Christmas tree with a new coffee mug and a pair of slippers. Talk about a cozy gift!
There's also this one that I think is even cuter. It's a bit more, but it looks really warm. I mean give me this blanket and drop me off at a cozy cabin for the weekend. Amen?!
I'm hoping that by each of them having their own box, it might cut out some of the stacks of stuff I don't know what to do with. There are so many papers, pictures, etc from over the years that it starts to add up. My plan is to put the things that I love and that I think they'll appreciate into the boxes and the rest can be tossed.
Kelsey shared these photo boxes and how she was organizing and storing her pictures. I must have caught the organizing bug, because I decided to order some and see if I can get my picture situation organized as well. They showed up yesterday and I shared them on Instagram as well. If you follow me on Instagram, make sure and check out my stories. I'm trying to share more often. :)
I've been looking for a new dress to wear for a Christmas party that Dan and I are going to and I like the ruffles on the sleeves of this dress. I don't usually wear red, but I think for a Christmas party it would be fun! I think I'm going to order it and cross my fingers that it's not too short for my long frame.
The Capital Tree is coming from Montana this year, and it stopped through town on it's way to DC.
It's hard to see it with the reflection, but it was all lit up and decorated.
My friend Sunny and I got our picture taken by it, because who knows how long it will be before this happens again.
Living in this quiet, peaceful, and beautiful valley is a blessing I take for granted way too often. But when life slows down a bit, and I look around, I remember how thankful I am. I guess I'm not the only one either. I showed Emma this picture, and she said, "What's so special about it? It's just normal." Isn't it sad that we miss so many beautiful things because we take them for granted.
So that being said... slow down a bit and take in the beauty around you this weekend!

I ordered 3 of these document boxes. This grey is currently sold out, but there are tons of other colors. I am planning to use them for my kids as a little keepsake box. I plan to put in a few of their school papers, their sports pictures, their baby outfit that I brought them home from the hospital in... things like that.I'm hoping that by each of them having their own box, it might cut out some of the stacks of stuff I don't know what to do with.
